The week before April 11 was a very exciting one for the children at Friendly Care Day School in Mechanicsville. Students studied bicycle safety with Bikewell bear. Parents collected donations from friends and family and coworkers, raising funds to assist programs of research, patient care and education for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Classes grouped together and took turns throughout the morning of April 11, showing off their riding and safety skills bicycling laps with smiles and determination.
In accumulated years Linda Cumby, director of Friendly Care Day School has donated over $42,000 to this very worthy organization. Way to go FCDS!
